Drew had his first day of school yesterday. He has had such a long wait. He couldn't understand what took so long. He is going to a cute Moms day out program. Just 2 days a week at the Church of Christ down the road from us. He will go Monday and Thursday from 8:30-1:30. We were lucky to be able to get a spot. I was feeling a little guilty not sending him to a traditional
pre-school but they assured me that he will be ready for
kindergarten. I just couldn't see sending him everyday when I have the
privilege of staying home with him. He is growing way too fast and I am going to hold on to him as long as I can. They had a T-shirt and
monogrammed backpack ready for him. I think he has wore his backpack for 2 days straight and slept in his shirt last night.
Natalie has continued to do great with her soccer team. The last couple of games she has scored at least once. Tonight we played against Mount Juliet (the town were Aunt Susie lives) and she scored 3 of the 4 goals to tie the game in the last two minutes. GO NATALIE. I was
soooo proud. Monica said that my cheering was starting to get
embarrassing. It must of been bad coming from a child that would do a back walkover or cart wheel in
Walmart if I would let her.
Monica turns 10 tomorrow. She is so excited being 10 years on the 10
th of the month. She will be getting a 10 $ bill with one extra zero added to the end.($100). She has politely reminded us that Natalie got her $100 for her 9
th birthday. We told her that we planned it this way. (well we did, once she reminded us). It wouldn't have been as special if she got it last year.
We are having a pool party for her on Saturday. Pray for good weather.
One last request. Please pray for my friend Sharon, from
Clarksville. She had a heart attack 11 days ago. She is very young and has had a second chance at life. The doctors said she went to heaven three times. She ended up with a
stent. She and her husband have a 10yr. old daughter.(Monica's best friend from
Clarksville). It has been such a shock because she is very physically fit. She is now recovering at home. I hate not being able to help them. They were so good to us while we lived in
Clarksville. Monica ate and played at their house many times a week. They always treated her like their own. She is definately a miracle. One that I am so happy to have witnessed. We love you Sharon and family.
